Piece description from the artist
Driving along Highway 89 just south of Horseshoe Bend near Page, Arizona, we came across this beautiful area where the road cuts through red rock cliffs which they call Antelope Pass. the warm morning sun gives the navajo sandstone an orange glow. Antelope Pass crowns the steepest grade on US‐89, climbing the Echo Cliffs before dropping toward Page (behind me). Between the cliffs you can see a peak of Vermilion Cliffs National Monument. This is also part of Navajo Nation.
