A beautiful moody skyscape. The original painting was created in mixed media, alcohol inks and acrylic paint on yupo.
I usually create trees as my focus, but the sky is the treasure in this painting. It has a lot of great emotion built into it. And the quiet forest below enjoys the beauty of it all.
I've always been an artist and painting is how I express my joy for life. Nature is my inspiration. I'm a prolific creator, with a wide range of mediums and surfaces including: encaustic wax, oil paints, alcohol inks, watercolors, acrylics, textiles, pottery, ceramic decals and glass. I live with my family in the beautiful mountains of western North Carolina. We have a dog, who makes us a family of 5.
