A magical purple landscape. I love how peaceful and sparkly this forest is. All the tiny details make it feel magical as if fairies live in the woods.
The original painting was created in mixed media using alcohol inks and acrylic paint on yupo paper. It has an incredible amount of intricate details layered in vivid, yet soothing colors. To me, it feels like a very happy dream, with a touch of magic.
I've always been an artist and painting is how I express my joy for life. Nature is my inspiration. I'm a prolific creator, with a wide range of mediums and surfaces including: encaustic wax, oil paints, alcohol inks, watercolors, acrylics, textiles, pottery, ceramic decals and glass. I live with my family in the beautiful mountains of western North Carolina. We have a dog, who makes us a family of 5.
