About the Artist
In 1993, Kerstin Roolfs received a Master Student Certificate in fine arts from the University of Arts in Berlin, Germany. Soon thereafter the city of Berlin awarded her its Promotion of Young Scholars Grant. She also applied for, and was awarded, a Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst stipend (DAAD) by the German Academic Exchange Service. These two sources of income made it possible for Kerstin to relocate to New York City.
She graduated from the Harvard Graduate School of Education in June 2007 with a Master of Education (Arts in Education) degree, and has since returned to New Yor…
