World War 2 memorial and fountains at night in Washington DC. This dramatic monument to the Second World War on the Mall in Washington is interesting during the day, but very dramatic at night. The fountains are floodlit and give a very interesting shape against the individual state columns.
Steve Heap has been a photographer for over 50 years now (which is frightening to think about!) but in that time he has developed an eye for what would make a striking piece of wall art. Photography is all about the light and his finest attribute is patience! Waiting for the conditions to be just right is the key to making a piece of art that you can be proud of. Of course, luck plays a part, but without that patience of being in the right place at the right time, it just becomes a snapshot.
