World on her shoulders

World on her shoulders

Piece description from the artist

I started experimenting with a new art medium about 5 years ago. Concrete, tar, and white latex paint. I enjoyed manipulating the materials into a strong and powerful composition while using nontraditional materials. The painting has depth, texture, volume, as well as both positive and negative space used strategically by applying the finishing touch of the white latex paint.
