Winter Sunrise

Piece description from the artist

This was taken on my 2nd trip to Yosemite Valley in the winter.

When I first arrived at this location the valley was covered in mist. As the sun began to rise the mist began to burn away.

I was able to capture this shot just as the sun came up over the valley walls. On previous visits to the Valley California was in a historic draught resulting in its waterfalls being more of a drip. During the winter months of 2016-17 we received tremendous rainfall and snow bringing back the gushing waterfalls the valley is known for.
