Bodega Bay at Dusk

Piece description from the artist

After a portrait session on the Sonoma County coast in California. I decided to drive back along the Highway 1 back to San Francisco.

The shoot finished just before sunset and I had quite a view during the drive back. While driving through Bodega Bay on the way I came to a ridge overlooking the waterfront. Arrested by the scene I pulled over and grabbed my camera. Not having time to pull out my tripod I rested my camera on the banister near the waters edge to capture this long exposure photograph.

I love how the long exposure technique gives the water a glass like appearance.
