I captured this long exposure of gentle cascades flowing around and under a weathered log along the Roaring River in Roaring River State Park in Cassville, Missouri, USA. The silky, smooth water softens the rugged edges of rocks and grasses along the riverbank, creating a calming contrast between motion and stillness.
On this warm spring afternoon in the Ozarks, patches of grass blur lightly in the breeze, adding a subtle sense of movement to the peaceful scene. Fed by a powerful natural spring producing over 20 million gallons of water each day, the river flows steadily, bringing life, clarity, and quiet beauty to this serene landscape.
