Piece description from the artist
As we were hiking along the trail to Zion Canyon Overlook, this cool big tree root growing on the edge with its own personality captured my eyes. This is the black and white version. I think this is a juniper or a cedar tree of some type. It looks like at one point it broke at the base and leaned over but then the roots made a way to keep it going and the branches also turned into roots. It says something about deep roots and where your roots come from matters, or the roots you plant into peoples lives around you like your kids, family and friends all matter. Towering rock mountains in the background glow in the warm evening light. This is at Zion National Park in Utah, United States. You can see the narrow pathway that leads around the mountains.
