Waterton Canyon Wall

Piece description from the artist

Waterton Canyon is an oasis on the outskirts of a sprawling suburban area in Colorado. It really is still wild and borders on Pike National Forest. There are a myriad of wildlife and a flowing river for fishing. I think most people don't notice how intricate and beautiful the rock canyon walls are! The textures and color are amazing, especially for artists and photographers. In this photograph, one can see that the walls of the canyon offer home and sanctuary. to not only wildlife, but to many flora as well!

About Barbara Schultheis

Littleton, CO

Barbara has been exposed to art and creativity, her entire life! Her mother was an oil painter and her grandfather, not only an MD, but a talented artist as well. At the age of 16, Barbara found her creative passion looking through the lens of a Canon camera. She has been a photographer from that point on, finding subject matter from the gritty streets of Manhattan, to the alpine environment of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. She feels most at home now, among big horned sheep, moose and mountains of Colorado!
