Walking through geological history

Walking Through Geological History

Piece description from the artist

Eldorado Canyon is a small state park outside of Boulder, Colorado, which has become extremely popular recently, but not too many people know about the trail where this capture was taken! Most people hike or jog by this mysterious rock formation, without a thought. For me, it is a living organism that changes with seasons, lighting and weather. The colors of this sandstone gigantic rock varies from bright yellow to blue and then bright orange. It is part of a huge large ancestral Rock formation of the Rocky Mountains called to Fountain Formation. Same formation of the world popular Red Rocks Amphitheater.
