A dramatic urban landscape capturing the Vancouver skyline bathed in late-afternoon golden light under a stormy sky. Low, directional sunlight illuminates the glass facades and high-rises—including the distinctive twisted form of Vancouver House—causing them to glow intensely against the dark, moody cloud cover overhead. A Canadian flag flies prominently atop a brick tower in the foreground, while the snow-dusted North Shore Mountains create a rugged silhouette across the background.
From the smallest details of macro to the vast panorama of a landscape, with a quick stop off at many subjects in between, Rick's passion for detail and capturing the moment has inspired him to shoot many different genres. He enjoys traveling to different parts of the world and will take his camera, even on work trips. More recently, he has been practicing creating artistic renditions of his photograph.
