What a stunning and expansive wide view I captured of snow-capped mountains near Hogan Pass Overlook along Utah State Route 72 near Loa. In the foreground, native vegetation naturally frames the scene, adding texture and depth as rolling hills guide the eye toward the distant peaks.
Across the landscape, Geyser Peak and Hens Hole Peak stand out against the horizon, along with a glimpse of the desert edge of Capitol Reef National Park. This remarkable region within the Fishlake National Forest brings together layers of valley, forest, desert terrain, and towering mountains in one sweeping view.
The rolling valley and dramatic clouds drift overhead to complete the scene. Standing at roughly 8,975 feet in elevation, with surrounding peaks rising over 10,800 feet, the cool mountain air and vast, open views made this Utah overlook feel truly unforgettable.
