Trees for phyllis

Tree's for Phyllis

Piece description from the artist

Abstract landscape of Aspen trees in the Fall, Trekking threw the woods I come to opening. There is a row of Aspen Tree's with the sun rays hitting them perfectly illuminating them in rich yellows and golden tones leaving a dark forest fading into a rich grey in the background. This original watercolor illustrates the scene of that day.

This is a TurningArt exclusive limited edition print available in editions of 100.

About Tamara Gonda

Pepperell, MA

With a B.F.A. from Virginia Commonwealth University and a M.F.A. from Cornell University, Tamara mainly produces Color Field and Abstract Expressionist works. But when Tamara's son left for college and the house became quiet, she began experimenting with watercolors. She was surprised to find that she absolutely loved it. Watercolors are a huge change for Tamara, as she had never painted anything close to realism before, but she is enjoying this new dimension.

Tamara and her family live in Massachusetts, a short drive away from Lake Winnipesaukee, the White Mountains, the cape, and Maine. However, her standalone favorite place to paint is the American west. She loves to paint from photos she's taken at the National Parks she's visited. Her favorite part about painting realist works is seeing people's face light up when they recognize the locations in her paintings.

The next new adventure for Tamara will be returning to abstract work, but this time around experimenting with small scale and encaustic works.
