Piece description from the artist
This black and white photo captures the historic Topaz Mill in Cabool, Missouri, United States, a striking grist mill that has stood since 1895. Built to replace an earlier 1840 grist mill whose story remains a mystery, it continues to serve as a treasured piece of Ozarks history. Set along a quiet gravel road and surrounded by the vibrant fall season reflecting the rustic charm of the Mark Twain National Forest region in southern Missouri. A favorite subject for photographers and history lovers alike, Topaz Mill remains a timeless landmark that embodies the enduring spirit of the Ozarks countryside.
