In such a trying time during history, we must remember to always look to the light. The Sun always comes out, representing light, life, power, growth, and health. This series was created to inspire hope during the midst of this pandemic. Acrylic paint was used on hand cut natural wood materials, left with a raw finish to signify humankind's need to return back to nature.
Taylor Bailey Douglass is a multidisciplinary artist based in Atlanta whose work explores the profound connection between nature, self, and the earth’s capacity to heal. Her paintings, often inspired by organic forms, natural textures, and earthy palettes, reflect a deep reverence for the land and its restorative energy. Originally from Texas and now rooted in Georgia, Taylor holds a background in art and design and has exhibited her work across the Southeast, including her recent exhibition A Dose of Earth. Through both studio practice and live painting experiences, she invites viewers to slow down and reconnect with the natural world. Her work draws influence from personal experiences of growth, resilience, and rediscovery, serving as a visual meditation on healing and belonging.
