The rush of resilience

The Rush of Resilience

Piece description from the artist

The popular Bridal Veil Falls outside of Telluride, Colorado are a classic expression of the consistent power of nature. As you approach them on a precipitous 4×4 road from the town of Telluride, the almost rhythmic bombast of the crashing water never ceases to amaze or quietly intimidate its observers. At the base of the falls, this tree stood swaying in constant recoil against the rush of the falling water. And so it did, for moment after moment, hour after hour, day after day, year after year… This resilience of the tree against the immutable reality of nature's intense consistency spoke to me. I was honored to capture the ideals in this moment.
