A vertical, portrait-oriented composition isolating the dramatic spire of the Matterhorn. By tightly cropping the horizontal ridge, the frame maximizes negative sky space above and draws the eye directly up the steep, snow-dusted rock face. Crisp, cool light illuminates the intricate textures of the glacial base below, emphasizing sheer vertical height and monumental presence.
From the smallest details of macro to the vast panorama of a landscape, with a quick stop off at many subjects in between, Rick's passion for detail and capturing the moment has inspired him to shoot many different genres.
