The Fly Over

Piece description from the artist

This photograph captures a powerful moment of movement and stillness on the American plains. A massive herd of bison moves through a lush, green field, their heavy forms partially veiled by the soft, tall grasses in the foreground. The image is defined by a beautiful sense of scale and atmosphere, capturing the bison huddled together, their dark, textured coats creating a grounded, earthy presence.

The Fly-Over: Above them, a scattered flock of birds takes to the sky, their light and airy silhouettes providing a sharp contrast to the weight of the giants below.

Shot with a shallow depth of field and a muted, cinematic color palette, the scene feels like a quiet, rediscovered moment from the wild. The hazy, overcast sky flattens the light, emphasizing the raw, natural beauty of the prairie.
