As I walk, I find myself drawn to textures. Often those textures are found in close up captures of nature, but every so often I find a textured surface created by the interaction of the nature with some thing created by nature, and I am entranced. In this particular image, the fading green paint and the peeling wood intersect with the swirls of the wood that has been planed into boards for a wall. And every time I look at this image, I wonder what stories the wood can tell me about the building that they are surrounding.
