Sunset Walk Between States

Piece description from the artist

This sunset photo was captured from atop the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge, the 3,000-foot-long suspension footbridge that stretches across the Missouri River, connecting Omaha, Nebraska, with Council Bluffs, Iowa, USA. The sun dips beyond the Omaha skyline, casting a radiant golden glow that washes over the sky and reflects gently on the river below. The bridge’s graceful, snake-like curve creates a captivating lead into the scene, while a solitary figure walking toward the fading light adds scale and a quiet human presence. As dusk settles in, the soft sway of the bridge offers a memorable experience for those who cross, whether walking, running, biking, or gliding on a scooter between two states suspended above the river.
