Last year I began hanging out with some seasoned photographers that eventually became friends. They invited me to the Old Pilings in Naples Florida. On the drive from Fort Lauderdale to Naples, it began raining so hard that we could barely see the road. It seemed like our photoshoot attempt would be a wash but as most Landscape photographers do you still take the chance, so we did. When we arrive the sky was grey and no sun there was no sun in sight for a sunset. Regardless we began setting up just in case. The Old Pilings were indeed interesting to capture as some had mentioned. As I moved around for a composition the sun broke free through the clouds and the most amazing surreal lights took over the sky. Up to this moment, this was by far the most magnificent sunset I experienced as the Pelicans began to artistically maneuver within the lights.
