Subway Ticket

Piece description from the artist

I've collected ticket stubs since I was little. While stuck at home during pandemic quarantining, I put them all out on the floor and arranged them into collages. They inspired a number of my paintings, each one named after its most prominent element, in this case the bright orange arrow from an MBTA ticket. Made in the style of Trompe l'oeil, a technique that tricks they eye into believing the painting is actually in 3D.
