This black and white photograph captures a set of steps made from sandstone rocks along the iconic Zion Canyon Overlook Trail in Zion National Park, Utah, USA. The narrow dirt pathway curves along rugged rock cliffs, bordered by desert brush and hardy plants that thrive in the high-desert terrain. A Large cedar tree growing in the rock extends out over the walkway. In the distance, a towering sandstone peak rises behind the vegetation.
This short but spectacular hike, located just off the Zion–Mount Carmel Highway, offers sweeping views of Zion Canyon and the dramatic cliffs that make southern Utah one of the most breathtaking landscapes in the American Southwest.
