This image was taken at a favorite local park near Portland, Oregon. The flowers at this particular park become even more vivid and colorful after a fresh rainfall which is what has taken place here. The simple flowers in the frame are offset by the dark background which make the colors vividly pop and add a whimsical and serene feel.
Catherine is a photographer based in Portland, Oregon, and originally from the Midwest. She is passionate about being in nature, making discoveries, and capturing those scenes on camera. She specializes in landscapes, wildlife, plants, and macro photography. When not viewing the world through an artistic lens, she volunteers for several animal non-profit organizations.
