Spring Dance

Piece description from the artist

One early morning, while I was riding my bike along a country road, out at the bottoms, I saw this colorful field of wild mustard. Past the mustard, the view extended out to the west. The ocean was just behind the ridge, close enough to smell it in the cool breeze.
It was a very inspiring scene, and since then, I have painted quite a few canvases inspired by wildflowers growing in the cattle pastures in this area. For this painting, my goal was to convey, to the viewer, a sense of standing in the Mustard flowers, looking out, seeing, and sensing the vastness and distance.
