The original was created with encaustic wax, which is many thin layers of hot beeswax + damar tree resin, pigmented with oil paints. I hope you love this painting as much as I enjoyed creating it. I find so much joy in creating artwork and I hope you find joy when you look at my work.
I've always been an artist and painting is how I express my joy for life. Nature is my inspiration. I'm a prolific creator, with a wide range of mediums and surfaces including: encaustic wax, oil paints, alcohol inks, watercolors, acrylics, textiles, pottery, ceramic decals and glass. I live with my family in the beautiful mountains of western North Carolina. We have a dog, who makes us a family of 5.
