Piece description from the artist
A zoomed-in photograph view at dusk of the La Sal Mountains rising beyond Arches National Park near Moab, Utah, USA, as soft afterglow colors settle in after sunset. Snow still clings to the high alpine peaks, creating a striking contrast against the atmospheric blue haze and the deep red rock formations at the base, an iconic scene of the American Southwest.
Located just southeast of Moab, the La Sal Mountains are the highest range in eastern Utah and a dramatic backdrop to Arches NP and the Moab desert. Their snow-capped summits often remain visible well into spring, offering a rare and beautiful contrast of alpine terrain above desert landscapes. This unique pairing of red rock country and mountain scenery is one of the reasons the Moab area is such a sought-after destination for landscape photography, outdoor recreation, and Southwest travel.
