Shadows that stay

This abstract composition evokes the raw energy of a winter forest. Bold white strokes surge upward like birch trunks. They cut through a dense atmosphere of charcoal greys and earthy ochres. The textures are tactile and varied. Thick impasto layers create a physical topography on the canvas.
A central explosion of ivory and gold suggests frost-covered foliage or sudden light. This luminous cluster disrupts the verticality of the scene. Subtle hints of orange add a warm flicker to the cold palette. The artist balances structured lines with spontaneous splatters. These drips mimic the randomness of nature. Each gesture feels urgent and precise.
The depth is achieved through sophisticated layering. Dark voids contrast with brilliant highlights to create a sense of atmospheric perspective. This artwork explores the tension between organic forms and gestural abstraction. It captures a moment of seasonal transition. The final effect is a rhythmic dialogue between light and shadow. The composition leads the eye from the heavy base toward the airy, fragmented upper section.
