This painting is from a series that uses the shape of a triangle to think about art history and the importance of the triad in classical painting history. Instead of using the triangle as an allegory for spirituality I want the triangle to glow from within like a spiritual object itself.
Lilly Saywitz is a Chicago native living and working in Knoxville, TN where she is activly pursuing an MFA in Painting from the University of Tennessee. She loves shape, color, and disco music. Lilly has shown in Boston MA, Knoxville TN, and Chicago IL and will open her first solo show "Untitled Fish Project" in October 2020.
