Rushing Waters At Grand Falls

Piece description from the artist

A beautiful autumn view of Grand Falls in Joplin, Missouri, where Shoal Creek rushes over a rocky ledge and tumbles into the water below. I captured this long exposure photograph while standing on a rock ledge looking toward the falls, giving the scene a natural foreground perspective.

The trees were beginning to show their fall colors in the Ozarks, so I took a day to get outside and photograph the changing landscape. Grand Falls is one of my favorite waterfalls in the region and is known as Missouri’s largest natural, continuously flowing waterfall. Often compared to a miniature Niagara Falls, it is an exhilarating sight and an incredible place to experience the power and sound of rushing water.
