This painting shows a blooming field of rosemary in Empuriabrava, a seaside town in Catalonia, Spain. The purple and violet shades sweep across the canvas like waves, with red rooftops and palm trees on the horizon. The bright blue sky with clouds adds a peaceful atmosphere. Known for its canals and beaches, Empuriabrava here is seen from a quieter, more natural side. Oil, canvas. Signed. Varnished.
Painting has been my passion since childhood. Among many different techniques oil painting is my favorite.
Themes of my paintings are as variegated as our world: cities, people, life, animals, dramatic art, nature. I am greatly influenced by such famous artists like Claude Monet, Vincent van Gogh, Isaac Levitan, Auguste Renoir. My work was strongly influenced by Picasso. The painting Girl on the Ball made a big impression on me in my childhood.
