Rolling Hills

Piece description from the artist

When I see this image, I think of colorful, vivid illustrations from children’s books. I think the color combination and the painting-like effect that came through in this photograph is why I associate this scene with something out of a story. This photo was taken alongside the Columbia River Gorge in Oregon which is full of rolling hills, mountains, and surprising scenes. This particular spot is one of my favorites to go to year round due to its higher elevation, spectacular views, and blooming wildflowers during the spring and summer.
