Riverside Sunrise In Cape Girardeau

Piece description from the artist

A peaceful morning scene beside a riverside bench, the perfect place to watch the first light of sunrise reflect across the Mississippi River from Cape Girardeau, Missouri, USA. Captured just as the sun began to rise behind the clouds, this view looks across the river toward the state of Illinois. You can see the sun trying to shine through the clouds. The Mississippi, the second-longest river in North America, stretches approximately 2,350 miles from Lake Itasca to the Gulf of Mexico. As one of the world’s most significant river systems, it supports remarkable habitat diversity and biological productivity, shaping both the landscape and the history of the United States.
