Antelope Canyon Jagged Turn

A peaceful morning floating among the waters of Antelope Canyon on Lake Powell near Page, Arizona, United States. In this photograph I captured this photo as the narrow channel curves around a jagged rock outcrop, where towering cream, orange, and reddish sandstone walls rise steeply from the water and enclose the canyon on both sides.

The layered sandstone reveals a mix of smooth surfaces, rugged contours, and patterns that have been shaped by water, wind, and weather over time. The towering cliffs and narrowing waterway create an incredible sense of depth, scale, and discovery.

Morning light highlights the sandstone, bringing out its rich warm colors and accentuating the textures and natural carvings in the rock. The calm water softly reflects portions of the canyon walls, adding to the tranquil atmosphere of this desert passageway. A beautiful way to spend a day in the American Southwest.
