Colors of buildings and trees behind rain or spray drops on window of a coach on a sightseeing tour of Budapest in Hungary. Not every day on a vacation can be warm and sunny and visiting the old town of Budapest was particularly wet. But before we donned our rain gear and gathered our umbrella, I thought the scene through the coach window was worth remembering. Just what was outside is now forgotten, but this scene remains.
Steve Heap has been a photographer for over 50 years now (which is frightening to think about!) but in that time he has developed an eye for what would make a striking piece of wall art. Photography is all about the light and his finest attribute is patience! Waiting for the conditions to be just right is the key to making a piece of art that you can be proud of. Of course, luck plays a part, but without that patience of being in the right place at the right time, it just becomes a snapshot. He focuses on capturing images from around the world – timeless shots that reward the viewer with insights as they spend more time with them!
