"Quiet Hideaway" is a modern landscape featuring earthy tones and striking textures. The original piece was created with layers of acrylic, ink and translucent waxed paper. As I moved papers around intuitively, my goal was to create a piece that transports viewers to a familiar place that makes them feel grounded and at ease.
Lara Eckerman creates abstract mixed-media artwork that explores the relationship between color, texture, and depth. Working primarily with acrylics, ink, and hand-painted translucent waxed papers, her landscape and floral-inspired pieces are created intuitively and are influenced by interior design and the natural world. Through layered, translucent compositions, Lara crafts visual experiences that invite viewers to immerse themselves in rhythm and subtle intrigue.
