I have always been an admirer of landscape painting. But because I choose to paint in an abstract style I don’t need to replicate the natural world around me but instead filter my appreciation for nature through my abstract simulations. I especially want to get a sense of the primitive raw and elementary substances and the gifts they keep giving.
Nature is a continuing source for revitalizing the spirit and a place to escape to from the exacting lives we lead. It is so critical that the raw natural world be preserved and we never forget the unending gifts it provides to those who cherish it.
