As the sun comes up over the horizon, golden light fills the morning partly cloudy sky with vibrant stunning colors in Pensacola Beach, Florida, USA. A few gulls (also called seagulls), fly around also enjoying the coastal sunrise. I captured this photograph standing under the Pensacola Beach Gulf Pier. You can see one of the large concrete columns. As waves roll up onto the shoreline, I love the wet sand the Gulf of Mexico water leaves as it recedes. Leaving lines and textures that quickly disappear with each wave and never the same pattern. Some condos and hotels can be seen along the shoreline in the distance. A great way to start the day in the panhandle of Florida. Some also call this Pens Beach for a short nickname.
