A peaceful golden hour sunrise glows over Destin, Florida, along the quiet shoreline of Four Prong Lake, where a small gazebo and swaying palm trees create a calm tropical setting as the early morning light fills the sky.
Normally my go-to subject for sunrise photography is the beach but these palm trees immediately caught my eye on this morning. There’s just something special about seeing those tall, tropical silhouettes against the bold morning colors. Call it silly if you want, but whenever I travel south and start spotting palm trees, I get excited. To me, they’re the perfect sign that the coast is near and the tropical atmosphere has arrived.
In the background, the calm waters of Four Prong Lake stretch across roughly 24 acres, reflecting the golden orange colors of the new day and adding to the peaceful coastal charm that makes Destin such a beautiful place to welcome the sunrise.
