Piece description from the artist
A high-detail macro study highlighting the natural criss-cross rhythm and tactile depth of mature timber. Defining dimensional shadows and crisp wood grain create a sophisticated, grounding, and minimalist statement piece.
From the smallest details of macro to the vast panorama of a landscape, with a quick stop off at many subjects in between, Rick's passion for detail and capturing the moment has inspired him to shoot many different genres. He enjoys traveling to different parts of the world and will take his camera, even on work trips. More recently, he has been practicing creating artistic renditions of his photograph.
