Waves roll in and spread across the shoreline in this peaceful early morning scene from Orange Beach, Alabama. A small section of wet sand reflects the pier to the side as the waves splash against the columns. The moment enhances the calm rhythm of the coast as the water slides back into the sea. The private fishing pier of a resort extends into the waters of the Gulf of Mexico, adding depth and perspective to the open shoreline. I captured this just after sunrise as soft blue clouds drift overhead, casting a gentle glow across this quiet and reflective Gulf Coast morning.
