A peaceful morning along the Gulf Islands National Seashore in Florida, United States, where the shoreline protects quiet moments of its own. The camera focuses on the footprints pressed into the cool, soft, white sand, as if they were frozen in time, while the moving water coming onto the shore blurs into a gentle sweep. A small piece of seaweed rests on the sand beside the footprints. Each wave brushes the shore and smooths everything it touches, rewriting the landscape again and again. These footprints were mine, made quickly before the ocean could steal them away. With every attempt, the tide moved closer, reminding me how easily moments fade if we don’t pause to notice them. Standing there by the sea, it felt as if time slowed just long enough for me to hold on.
