Omaha Missouri River Boardwalk Blue Hour

A peaceful early morning blue hour scene before sunrise, captured while walking along the wooden boardwalk and footbridge along the riverfront in downtown Omaha, Nebraska. One of the charming little covered bridges along the walkway creates an interesting frame, with a glimpse of the Bob Kerrey Bridge glowing with pink lights in the distance.

It was a beautiful Sunday morning for a quiet stroll beside the Missouri River. Looking along th side of the path, you can catch a small glimpse of the water as the first light of day begins to brighten the horizon. The bridge overhead is part of the Gerald R. Ford Freeway, also known as Interstate 480.

The boardwalk continues toward Discovery Playground in one direction and Farnam Pier in the other, making this a wonderful area to explore on foot. I loved the combination of the wooden walkway, softly illuminated bridges, calm river, and deep blue tones of the sky just before sunrise.
