What initially captured my attention was the sunflower's face, two eyes and a mouth open in what resembled song. It was only after I looked at the photograph itself that I noticed that the leaves resembled outstretched arms which then gave the sunflower the appearance of it's looking toward the sunny skies and singing that song from "Oklahoma!" in exhilaration.
I have been out shooting or working on photographs in one form or another just about every day since I first picked up an SLR camera twenty years ago. I soon discovered that the extraordinary is just as likely to sit quietly next to me as it is to parade by.
