Norbeck Overlook Mount Rushmore View Grayscale

Piece description from the artist

A unique distant view of Mount Rushmore National Memorial that many visitors to the Black Hills drive past without seeing. I captured this landscape photograph from the Peter Norbeck Overlook, where the iconic granite faces of four U.S. presidents are framed by tall spruce and pine tree forest, rugged rock bluffs, and the surrounding beauty of the South Dakota wilderness. Located along the scenic Peter Norbeck Scenic Byway which is also part of the famous Iron Mountain Road, this overlook offers a peaceful perspective of the carved mountainside from within the stunning landscape of Custer State Park in Keystone, South Dakota.
