Here's another unique expansive view in black and white with Mount Rushmore National Memorial in the distance. I captured this from one of the scenic overlooks along Iron Mountain Road in Keystone, South Dakota, USA. Standing out over the lush pine forests of the Black Hills, the iconic granite carvings have a dramatic partly cloudy sky above it.
Iron Mountain Road, also known as U.S. Highway 16A, takes you through Custer State Park, and is one of the most scenic drives in the Black Hills. This unforgettable 17-mile route features 314 curves, 14 switchbacks, three one-lane granite tunnels, the famous three wooden pigtail bridges, and several spectacular viewpoints that perfectly frame Mt Rushmore.
