Mount Rushmore America 250 Years

Piece description from the artist

A closer view of Mount Rushmore reveals the incredible detail of one of the most iconic landmarks in the Black Hills of South Dakota, United States. This photo includes a compilation of different photos I took to create a special image celebrating America's 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. It includes the American flag, a flying bald eagle, and the text "250 Years Of Independence 1776 – 2026).

Carved into the granite mountainside, the massive sculpture is an awe-inspiring sight that draws visitors from around the world. Mount Rushmore National Memorial features the towering faces of four influential USA presidents—George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln. These leaders were selected to symbolize the nation's founding, expansion, development, and preservation. Located near Keystone, South Dakota, Mount Rushmore remains one of America's most visited attractions, celebrated for its rich history, patriotic significance, and breathtaking Black Hills setting. I captured this photograph during a morning visit in 2026 (the 250th year of America's freedom anniversary), arriving before the crowds to enjoy a quieter experience and unobstructed views of this remarkable national memorial. The soft morning light highlighted the craftsmanship of the monument and made the experience even more memorable.
