Piece description from the artist
From a low vantage point along the shoreline in Orange Beach, Alabama, I focused on the gentle rhythm of waves rolling in from the Gulf of Mexico creating a natural abstract. Each wave arrived with a soft rush, spreading delicate foam across the sand before slowly retreating. Using a slower shutter speed, I was able to smooth out the motion, turning the water into a silky, flowing texture that feels almost painted across the scene.
The sky above remained clear and open, adding a sense of simplicity and calm to the composition. Getting this close to the water always comes with a bit of risk, salt spray and sudden surges keep you on your toes, but that’s part of what makes capturing these moments so rewarding. There’s a peaceful energy in the movement, a quiet reminder of how constant and calming the ocean can be.
